There are reviews of Spanish learning products, but this isn’t a review site. This is about my journey learning the Spanish language. This blog is for me to follow my own progress, keep my notes for learning and my experience in what works for me and what doesn’t. Along with pictures and videos of Spanish instruction or of scenes from Mexico and Latin America.

I also want to keep myself accountable in my progress. If you want to follow along and participate or help me out, I welcome and appreciate any help and advice I can get.

I’ve never been to Mexico except a few Border towns and that was before my quest to learn the language. I’m going to put pictures and videos of Mexico that I find. And I want to exchange information with people that have been there and may still be living there.

I’m going to expand the scope of this blog because even though I’ve never been deep into Mexico and would only be able to go there on short vacations, there are plenty of opportunities to experience the Spanish language in the United States, especially in the Southwest.

You will be a more valuable employee if you can even speak a little Spanish in most jobs in the Southwest.

If you would like to be listed here, let me know. Except for directory listings, I don’t do official “link-exchanges” for the sake of building a gigantic blogroll. I’m accepting Guest Posts from people about how they really learned Spanish. Either from ex-pats living in a Latin American country or even here in the States. I’d like to know that even if you lived in country, how were you able to pick up grammar and the more technical aspects of speaking, reading and writing.

How to use this site

Most of the Categories are self-explanatory

  • Free Products means totally free stuff I found.
  • Free Trials usually means a few items may be free with the intent of purchasing a larger package.
  • Learn Spanish is a general category of things I’m doing
  • Pictures are pictures I’ve found about Mexico or Latin America. All pictures are credited and I make sure they are Creative Commons licensed. Mostly found on flickr.com or from websites with their permission.
  • Videos are videos I’ve found around the web and will be found on youtube or other video sharing services.
  • Podcasts are other podcasts I’ve found and have listened to and most of the time I’ll give my opinion if I think it’s appropriate.

Right now, this page goes to a large Amazon affiliate store with a lot of Spanish Learning products along with travel guides, Latino music, Mexico history and much more.

I’ve got other plans for that page but for now there’s a lot of stuff to check out.This site will always be “under construction” with constant improvements and updates.
