I very much enjoyed your post and I would like to say that I had a very pleasant experience with Rocket Spanish. My review can be found here: www.rockettospanish.blogspot.com

When I was researching what to use, there seemed to be an overwhelming amount of bad reviews about Rosetta Stone on Amazon and other places. With no real free trial, only an online trial, plus they're more expensive than almost everything else.

I looked at their website again and for their Level 1 the only description is that you'll get the fundamentals for $200 or get a break by paying $300 for three Levels. At the time I didn't want to spend that amount of money on something I may not end up doing very well at.

I'm pretty happy with what and how I started. Learning Spanish Like Crazy was a good price for the download and the samples / free trial were really good lessons. Than all the bonus lessons and everything else, seemed like a much better deal. And after almost at the end of level 1 for LSLC, it's a lot more than just the fundamentals or getting around. It's very in depth and it's not just listen one time and forget, especially toward the end, I have to listen to a lesson several times to be able to respond confidently and quickly enough and be right.

I haven't tried Rocket Spanish either, but from what people say in the forums, you can complete level 1 of Rocket and still learn a lot going to LSLC level 1. But not the other way.

I'm really happy with everything from LSLC. From the quality of the audio, the bonus lessons, extra learning, forums and the support. Customer support and the language support are great. For the download price, I don't think you can beat it.

I guess I did leave it out, but when I was writing this post I didn't want to seem to negative about it since I hadn't tried it myself and was only going on other reviews I had read. And I didn't really have a very good impression of it from what I did see.

I noticed that you didn't include a section for the Rosetta Stone Software, except in your links above. I used it for French and was really happy with the program.
