A couple reasons for this post. There are several ways to upload mp3 files and I wanted to see how this one looked and make sure it worked.
Another is to show how advanced Learning Spanish Like Crazy is. Okay, this is a blatant Learning Spanish Like Crazy commercial. Only because
There are a zillion different places on the internet to find stuff to help you learn how to speak Spanish. The most common and well known is Amazon.com. I've got a "Store" setup on the Products page that has a bunch of learning Spanish products in one place. I mainly
I completed Level one of Learning Spanish Like Crazy in the last post. Thirty, approximately 30 minute long lessons covering a lot of vocabulary, verb conjugations, present tense, past tense, preterite tense, imperfect tense, reflexive verbs and much more with conversations at what seems like normal speed with different actors
And the winner is... Learning Spanish Like Crazy!
Rocket Spanish
I'm sure Rocket Spanish is fine for a lot of people. Rocket seemed more "touristy", so if you're going on vacation that may be a better choice. The free trials from Rocket, were really lightweight. If those were the real 6 first
I still like Learning Spanish Like Crazy. I'm kind of done with level 1. Kind of, meaning I need to go back and listen a few more times to the last five lessons to get more comfortable and quicker with my responses. Every lesson has the same format a conversation
Learning with a group or at least a partner is always easier especially when it comes time to practicing your conversation skills. In order to learn to speak Spanish, you have to SPEAK SPANISH!
For those of us that don't live in Mexico, Latin America country or a Spanish speaking neighborhood
Everyone loves free. Free trials to help learn Spanish are a great way to see if you and the product are compatible. You have to be comfortable in your training and study aids. A few I've found so far
Rocket Spanish - starts out free with a few free trail lessons.
After a few days of not studying, I'm finding it easy to get back to where I left off. I went to the previous lesson of my Learning Spanish Like Crazy and have gone over my current lesson a couple of times, which is working on the past tense. A
I’m going to expand the scope of this blog because even though I’ve never been deep into Mexico and would only be able to go there on short vacations, there are plenty of opportunities to experience the Spanish language in the United States, especially in the Southwest.
You don't have to
Now that I've decided on the language I'm going to learn and I'm totally motivated to start, now what?
Google and Amazon will show thousands of products, books, cds, dvds, online guides and even vacations in Mexico to totally submerse you into the Spanish language.
There is no way I can check
The course looks really useful and indepth, so I guess it would be worth trying. Does it come with a money back guarantee if for some reason you don’t get much out of it?
I have to agree with some of the previous comments that finding someone who speaks Spanish is actually one of the best ways to master the intricacies of the language. What I have found as well is that you have to ‘immerse’ yourself in the language as much as possible by listening to audios, watching films, reading newspapers and children’s Spanish books, and of course practising your speech as well. The more ways you can expose yourself to the language and culture, the better.
I’m off to find myself a friendly Spanish speaker!

2There should have been a subtitle. Those who don’t know what ‘agua’ means probably won’t get it.
